Joining the all-new Nokia X6music device is the new Nokia X3, the first Series 40 device to come Ovi Store enabled. Sharing some of the X6’s design cues, the Nokia X3 slider sports a 3.2-megapixel camera, a diminutive frame and 2.2-inch screen. Stereo speakers, dedicated music keys and support for up to 16GB of storage via microSD card make for a nifty mobile music device. The X3 also sports an active homescreen where users will be able to see their contacts, friends and current music playing. The Nokia X3 is designed first and foremost for music lovers and is also the first Series 40 Ovi Store-enabled device. Sleek and compact, this phone is as good as mobile music gets.

 

The latest version of Nokia´s intuitive, high quality music player is spot on. There´s an FM radio with RDS. And the stereo speakers have to be, well, heard to be believed! You can take complete control over your music over Bluetooth or by using the standard 3.5mm headphone jack along with the dedicated music button. As one of Nokia’s flagship Comes With Music devices the X3 also lets you discover, download and keep (for good) millions of tracks from the Nokia Music Store. There´s also the option to upgrade to a massive memory for your music – supporting as it does microSD cards up to 16GB (and there´s a generous 2GB card supplied).You can also side-load straight into your PC, and customise the player and radio skin to suit your headbanging or chill-out-room style! So there we have... a music phone like no other.

Aside from all this ear-bashing goodness, what else is on board? Well, plenty, as it happens...

 

There´s a 3.2 megapixel camera that takes decent still snaps and impressive video clips. Shoot, edit and share video clips to Facebook thanks to the pre-installed software, or geo-tag and upload to Flickr direclty.

 

The homescreen is ´active´, meaning that you can choose whether you see your contacts, friends or the track you´re playing. There´s also a choice of animated wallpapers and different options for showing signal and battery strengths.

 

Both social networking and social messaging are heavily supported, with apps that link you straight to Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Windows Live! Messenger, Yahoo Go! and all your other favourite gossiping sites!

 

Email is also as easy as can be to set-up, and you can combine all your inboxes into one, including support for Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and most other POP3/IMAP email clients.

 

There´s Nokia´s fantastic web browser for rapid and fun web browsing and it comes with a built-in Flash player. Also, the auto landscape-orientation means you´ll be able to squeeze the most our of that screen while you´re touring the virtual.

 

And there´s a bunch of great games on-board, including Guitar Rock Tour by Gameloft, and Java games such as City Bloxx and Snake III.

Nokia Maps working in tandem with the integrated A-GPS... Ovi Store access for easy downloading of apps, games, videos, podcasts... bundled headphones... an active matrix screen...
