Sagem Cosyphone Early Review

In a word or two
The Sagem Cosyphone is all about simplicity and has been designed for the more mature mobile phone user.

The Design and Specifications
As its name implies, the Sagem Cosyphone is about making mobile communication that little bit friendlier. Aimed at the over-50s, the handset has a decent sized screen with clear fonts and large keys. Each key is raised and vibrates when pressed so you can be certain you’ve hit the right one.

The layout is clear and clutter-free, and the handset itself is a good size for holding and using. One of the key features of the Sagem Cosyphone is the contactless near-field-communication (NFC) technology inbuilt which means you don’t need to scroll endlessly through the menus to find what you are looking for. Instead, you place all the details you want for people and places that matter to you, on a customisable card. Simply find the right card, wave the phone over the card and make that call (or send that text).

The cards can also be used for data services such as the weather or traffic. And the really good news is you don’t need a computer to customise these cards – you can add the relevant information straight from the Cosyphone.

Verdict
If you struggle with smartphones like the iPhone or the HTC HD2 and just want a super-simple phone that lets you stay in touch in a straightforward way, the Sagem Cosyphone promises to be ideal. More details are coming soon on just how cosy this phone is, including price and performance.
