The Sagem Puma Phone is a strikingly designed smartphone with a sporty nature.

 

 

The result of the joining-up of the mobile phone manufacturer Sagem and the sports brand Puma, the Sagem Puma Phone is a mobile phone with a focus on the active lifestyle. The handset itself is nicely rounded, fairly trim at 13mm, and sports a 2.8 inch touchscreen together with a healthy weight.

 

The size of the Sagem Puma Phone makes it ideal for taking with you on bike rides or jogs – or perhaps shopping trips or outings to the cinema. And the solar charger on the reverse of the phone has a practical benefit too, letting your phone charge as you go about your day. There is a charge indicator and a large counter on-screen which tells you the energy gained from the sun in terms of messages powered.

 

As well as being sporty, the design is fun. For example, the Sagem Puma Phone has a vibrant red interface which displays large icons on each of the three screens – one for your favourites, and others for sport and lifestyle features – although you can opt for a non-red interface, if you prefer. Navigation on the handset is equally fun with touches like the fact you swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull the menu up, almost like turning the page of a book.

 

 

You could easily use your Sagem Puma Phone to help keep you fit and active, as it comes pre-loaded with a range of apps for sport-related activities. There is a GPS bike tracker and run tracker, a pedometer and a stopwatch. You can also keep up to date with the world of sports via the Puma services which include news (albeit with a focus on Puma’s sponsored athletes) and access to Puma products in the shop.

 

For those times you are in a more relaxed mood, you can enjoy the 3.2-megapixel camera on the Sagem Puma Phone or simply tune into the FM radio. There is a music player onboard which displays each song with a spinning disc on-screen, and the expandable memory means you can add a number of tunes to the phone.

 

At its core, the Sagem Puma Phone is obviously a mobile phone – and it is more than equipped for this too. There is support for SMS and MMS, email, and instant messaging as well as a web browser for interacting with friends online.
