Quite simply the most megapixels on a cameraphone ever. So if you´re a keen snapper who wants to have only one electronic item to carry around with you, the Pixon 12 could answer your needs.

This also manages to be a pretty decent phone in its own right too, so you needn´t worry about other features being skimped on to make room for all that camera power.

Features

As you would have guessed, it´s all about the camera with the Pixon 12. So what will you be getting for your money? Aside from the most obvious – that massive 12 megapixels – the camera also has a host of other functions to help you get the most out of just about every Kodak moment you might come across. Want to focus on something that´s not in the centre of the frame? Just click on whatever it is you want to be in focus and the tap-to-focus feature will do just that. Taking photos of things that just won´t stay still (human, animal, or even on wheels!)? Then the auto-tracking will keep your subject firmly locked on. You´ll also be glad to heat that even though those 12MP files will be huge, your camera will still be able to take another picture within 2 seconds of you taking the previous, thanks to some innovative technology from Samsung that carries on saving the file in the background while you set yourself to keep on snapping. Add to that some intuitive uploading options to get your photos onto sites such as Facebook as quickly as possible and you´ve got just about the perfect all-round cameraphone.

But as mentioned above, the phone is no slouch in its more phone-like departments either. With a fantastic AMOLED screen for ultra bright and crisp display, whether you´re taking photos or not, the great TouchWiz interface that´s now found on all Samsung touchscreens and some nice quick HSDPA options for all your internet connectivity, this is a great phone whichever way you picture it.

Conclusion

Excels at camerawork, but also won´t let you down when it comes to the nuts and bolts of what you expect from a mobile device these days. The photos, though, are what it´s all about. And once you get used to the setting, you´ll be taking the best shots you´ve ever seen from a mobile device.
