The Samsung i200 is a very simple candybar which has very unassuming looks, something like the Nokia 6233, but has a load of features packed in it. Great features, including 3G, a microSD memory card slot, a 2 megapixel camera and a music player capable of playing a variety of formats. The Microsoft Windows Mobile platform adds a great touch to what promises to be an awesome phone. Let’s have a look at it.

The most distinguishing feature of the Samsung i200 is its very modest looks. More than half of the front face of the phone is taken up by the screen. Between the screen and the alphanumeric keys are the menu key, previous menu key, navi keys, call accept, call reject and the 5 way navigational keys. The alphanumeric keypad doesn’t have a flashy design or anything like that, is just enough to enable fast texting without constantly having to look at the keypad. The right side of the phone houses the camera shutter key and the microSD memory card slot, while the left side of the phone plays host to the volume rocker and the USB / headset adapter, which is covered by a plastic flap. The back of the phone is very much plain, with the camera module being located on the top left corner and surrounded by a metallic frame. The power button is on the top of the phone, while the lanyard eyelet is on the top left corner of the phone.

The Samsung i200 is clearly a great phone for someone who likes to have a discreet phone, but wants the phone to be packed with a host of great features. Others in the ‘I’ line of Samsung phones include the Samsung i600 and the Samsung i780.
