Samsung i7500
Overall
The first phone from one of the top-three manufacturers in the world to sport Google Android OS, and it´s a cracker. If you use even just a couple of Google´s services regularly, this phone will bring more pleasant efficiency to your life than you can imagine! Also a more than competent smartphone in its own right.

Details
Although as you´ll see from the specs, the i7500 is a more than competent smartphone, it´s the Android operating system that´s going to be the major draw for most people here. Allowing incredibly fast access to all of Google´s revolutionary applications and platforms such as Mail, Search, Talk, Calendar and YouTube, you´re phone will act as the perfect portal to far more than any previous handset you´ve had. Even if you´re only signed up to a couple of Google´s services, you´ll find just the access to them incredibly handy, and chances are you´ll be signing up to everything else they have to offer in no time at all.
But it´s not just limited to the standard set of Google services either. Using the Android Market, you can gain access to a huge (and rapidly growing) number of apps phone that will only increase how useful you´ll find the phone to be in your daily life. For example, the mobile travel guide Wikitude can be installed to grant you access to details of unknown sights via location-based Wikipedia articles, working via the integrated GPS.
Look and Design
Though not particularly stunning in any one department, the i7500 is a more than decent enough looker. And with that Samsung-perfected AMOLED screen – the thinnest, brightest and best screens currently on the market – you´ll be more than happy once the thing´s turned on. Also thanks to the thin screen, the handset is a pretty remarkable 11.9mm, more than thin enough to slip into you pocket.
Conclusion
The HTC Magic might have been the first official Android phone on the market, but the i7500 is going to be the first to being the fantastic OS to the mass market. Make sure you get your hands on one as quickly as possible for those all important bragging rights.
