Introduction
The brand new Samsung i770 Saga is a brand new phone from Samsung which is yet to be released. The phone features a lot of business applications and is likely to be a business based phone. It has a QWERTY keyboard as well as Pocket Office and runs on Windows Mobile Professional 6.1. The phone is also equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera and a large 2.5 inch touch screen display. In terms of its features and applications it looks like a pretty impressive phone and is very similar to some of the Blackberries available – except of course, that it is no where near as brilliant.

Specifications
As you can probably already tell, the Samsung i770 Saga is set to be a business user targeted phone and I think it has all the main features needed to keep up with work while you’re out of the office. It has Pocket Office which is an application package which contains document readers and editors for most MS Office document types and Adobe PDF’s; although editing PDF’s isn’t an option on this phone – nor is it on many computers! The phone’s main features are probably the Pocket Office package and the WiFi capability which allows you to hook up to high speed broadband networks at home or at work so you can surf the web and share files.

The phone is also equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera which can record video as well – it may not be the best camera in the world but as this is a business phone it doesn’t need to be. The phone has all the right features for business users and as it includes WiFi it’ll probably be very popular with people who need a high speed internet connection from their phone at home or at work and even at WiFi hot spots. The phone is also equipped with a few games and is able to use Java and Flash online and offline.

Overall, the features of the i770 are great and I think that although they aren’t the best of the best they’re definitely worth the purchase. If you’re a business user and you’re looking for a reasonably priced business phone with a few features to help you keep up with work while you’re away from the office then this phone is ideal for you. It has a nice set of features and a nice look to it and I think it’ll be very popular with a lot of business users who perhaps can’t afford the luxury of a Blackberry.

Looks
In terms of look, I’m not going to lie, this isn’t the prettiest of phones and even some of the latest Blackberries whoop this phone in terms of style. It has a rather old look to it and doesn’t appear to be very stylish or sleek. The phone measures in at 124mm by 62mm by 13.5mm in dimension and it weighs 130grams so is rather heavy too – although not that heavy considering it’s a smart phone. The phone is available in a few colours; Black, Blue and Red so at least you can be a little unique with this phone.

However, the colour blue on this phone makes it appear old and tacky and for some reason it just doesn’t suit the phone at all so I’d suggest the red or black colours if you’re going to buy this phone. In terms of the design, I’d say that the keypad is good although it’s probably not the best looking keypad available – even if it is a QWERTY keyboard. All in all, I’d say it’s not bad looking but I think Samsung could have done a little better – the phone just looks a bit too bulky and isn’t very stylish at all.

Design
In terms of design, the Samsung i770 is a great phone and has a very good user interface. It runs on Windows Mobile Professional version 6.1 and it does appear to work seamlessly with the UI. However, as with most smart phones, it does lag occasionally and I think a lot of people may find this frustrating. For the most part, this phone does what it is supposed to do and the software appears to work well – all the applications work well together and I can’t see any major problems with this phone at all – time will tell I guess.

Overall
All in all, the Samsung i770 is a great phone and I think a lot of business users will appreciate this phone and all it has to offer. It may not be feature rich but it certainly has everything you could need and I’d say this phone is definitely only suitable for business users because as far as entertainment features go this phone is very lacking. The whole idea of this phone, I’m guessing, was to create a phone that can be used as a communication port for people who are in and out of the office a lot. It has an email client so you can stay in touch and Pocket Office so you can work too.

I think the phone does its job very well and I have to say that of all the business phones that Samsung have released I do like this one the best. It may not be the most stylish but it is definitely one of the most practical phones available from Samsung and it definitely fulfils the tasks it needs to. The Pocket Office application is probably its major selling point and I think a lot of people will enjoy using this fun and easy to use mobile phone for business reasons.

Overall, the phone has a nice set of features and although it’s not a top of the line phone, it definitely has some great features and I think a lot of people will be very happy to own this phone. It seems to work well and is very well designed so I think that not many people will have problems with this phone while they’re using it. All in all, I think Samsung have done a great job with this phone and I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what user opinions are like before we can truly rate this phone.
