Do you remember the last time that your phone was driven over by a massive truck and wished that there was a rugged phone which didn’t cost a fortune? The design of this phone clearly satisfies that criteria. Made from stiff plastic and rubber, the M110 does feel extremely solid and the grip that the body has ensures that it won’t slip too easily from your hand, unlike the glossy finish that more and more phones are starting to adopt nowadays. The keypad of the M110 is quite big and easy to navigate, with the numeric keys being raised in the center so that you won’t find it hard to distinguish one from another. The left side of the phone houses the volume rocker and the charger/headset port, and on the back of the phone lies the VGA camera lens and the LED flash.
On the back of the M110 is a half-turn screw locking mechanism for use with the battery cover. Whether locking the back plate assist the phone in resisting external elements is hard to verify but it sure does give you a feeling that the phone will be safe no matter what.
The Samsung M110 is a great phone for anyone who is looking for a rugged phone which doesn’t really cost a fortune. It has a decent set of features, but works well in the rugged department, making it a must – have!
