Sony Ericsson C510 Featured ReviewThe brand new Sony Ericsson C510 is a phone that is yet to be released but is expected any day now. The release date hasn’t been officially set but it is expected sometime during the first quarter of 2009. The Sony Ericsson C510 is equipped with a great set of features and the theme for this phone is affordability. The features aren’t all top of the range but there are a few mid range features which make this phone affordable, easy to use and appealing. We think this phone will appeal to personal users as the majority of features are for entertainment purposes.
Specs
The Sony Ericsson C510 is equipped with a 3.2 mega pixel camera with auto focus and a flash. The camera can also record videos and there is a secondary camera for video calling. The camera also has face, smile and blink detection which makes it a camera that could rival the features of some standalone digital cameras. The phone also has FM radio with RDS and a media player that can play most formats of music and video allowing you to enjoy your entertainment from your mobile phone. There is also a Sony Ericsson feature on this phone called Track ID which allows you to record a few seconds of a song and Sony will then tell you who the artist is and what the song is called.
The C510 also has built in hands free and in terms of connectivity you can take advantage of the high speed 3G internet connections as well as USB and Bluetooth. The phone also benefits from motion gaming and an organiser so you can keep track of appointments and meetings with this phone. All in all, the features of the Sony Ericsson C510 aren’t that of a top of the range device but the phone does offer an affordable mid range set of features which will be fun and easy to use.
Looks & Design
In terms of looks and design, the Sony Ericsson C510 has a nice look to it and is available in two colours; Future Black and Radiation Silver. The handset itself measures in at about 107 x 47 x 12.5 mm so is slim line and stylish for a mobile phone. The handset weighs about 92 grams so is rather light for a handset of this caliber. The design of the software is also good and offers ease of use as well as being of high quality. Overall, the look and feel of the phone is good and it’ll probably be very popular.
Overall
All in all, the Sony Ericsson C510 is a great phone and we’d highly recommend it to personal users. The features are great considering this phone has been designed for affordability and we think it’ll remain a popular handset long after its release. The camera and the media player are probably the best features and the handy Sony Ericsson features such as YouTube service and Track ID make this phone ideal for people who enjoy entertainment features. If you’re on a budget and want a phone with a good set of features then this could well be the phone you’ve been looking for.
