Sony Ericsson K510i Review - read honest Sony Ericsson K510i reviews
Being a part of the Cybershot series, the Sony Ericsson K510i is pretty much a very basic phone looking at the low ends. Having been announced in early 2006, the phone doesn’t go far above the basic phone. Sony Ericsson brought the spotlight on the K510i along with the K310 but the K510i is surely a better performer. The phone is small and is bound to be loved by pockets since it is compact. The phone came out in the two colors of midnight black and polished purple – the latter being an unconventional colour for Sony Ericsson. Being attractive and sleek, the K510i take three avatars: tri-band GSM for the Europeans and K510a for America and K510c for the Chinese Mainland. Despite being a low class phone, it is a “top end” low class phone which is great for daily use and of course much better looking than other phones in the same series like the K508i. Specifications:

The Sony Ericsson K510i looks like any typical phone from the K series. Although it does have a start similarity to the K310i, the K510i is undoubtedly much brighter and more attention grabbing. The K510i’s small display is very nice and is great for viewing photos and the camera lies towards the rear end of the phone. Other interesting camera-related features include the face warp which is great for users who like to play with images; merging, twisting and smudging photos are possible. A great feature if you want to make people laugh with your photos. Photos can also be easily shared since MMS features are available or can be sent via email.
Users can easily capture funny moments with the K510i since it has good recording features. Also you can match photos with your contacts and so your contact’s picture will appear more prominently calls come in or go out. However, the downside of the K510i is probably the poor resolution of the camera when compared to its mid range counterparts like Nokia 5610 which has a 3.2MP camera. Anyway the media player is quite good and comes along with PlayNow and MusicDJ features. Internet browsing is not so difficult with the Sony’s Access Net Front where users can view plenty of websites. However, memory cannot be expanded – another major negative! Although the phone is in the basic level range, it is quite advantageous and the price tag is very reasonable; mediocre camera performance and connectivity and a convenient design. After all when the SE S700 came out some time ago with the same features, it had a heavier price tag.
