Sony Ericsson’s W350i is a very unique and eye-catching phone which was released in May 2008. This particular model which falls under Sony Ericsson’s award winning music technology integrated Walkman umbrella is considered to be the thinnest flip phone so far being only 10.5mm thick. It has been a long time since Sony Ericsson produced a flip phone and the W350i fills the gap with super looks, awesome features that would attract the mobile users and kind of give us the feeling of SE’s T Series. Like all other models within the Walkman brand, the W350i is also targeted at music lovers while it gives all the necessary features that a mobile phone should have.

W350i is equipped with a 1.9” TFT 256k color display with 176x220pixels resolution just like in the w810i. Camera is quite basic however as it’s 1.3 megapixel but with resolution of 1280x1024 pixels and it’s not video capturing enabled either. It networks on Class 10 GPRS/EDGE and runs on WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (NetFront) browser. You can experience the most attractive and award winning sound quality in the Walkman player and if you hear a song on the FM radio, use TrackID to know more information with regard to who the artist and what the album is. There is A2DP v.2 Bluetooth and an USB port so that you can transfer files between your phone & the pc and even synchronize the two. W350i has an internal memory of 14MB like in the k310i but unlike in the latter, you can extend the storage capacity up to 4GB using the Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot. A 512MB memory card is given with the phone kit. Apart from these the basic functions such as messaging (SMS, MMS, email, instant messaging), picture editor, voice memo and organizer is also available.

W350i’s appearance is absolutely eye-candy with the nice color combinations for the set of dedicated music keys at the front that gives it a total retro look. W350i is available at stores in colors such as Electric Black, Hypnotic Black, Ice Blue, Graphic White, Wisteria Purple, Pink and Turbo Red. The most eye-catching feature about it is that when the flip is closed, it reveals the dedicated music player keys on the flip which reminds us a lot about Sony Ericsson’s high-end W980 which has the same feature. The keypad looks almost same as the W960 with no spacing in between keys giving ample finger space on the keys. W350i is so easy to carry around as its only 104x43x10.5mm in dimensions and weighs only 80g.

Overall W350i is a superb phone that is satisfactory in both performance as well as appearance. It’s the ideal companion of any music lover because of the awesome music features and it’s small & compact so it’s easy to take it with you anywhere you go. Equipped with a range of important but basic features it comes at an affordable price so it should be able to perform to the heights of its expectations.
