T-Mobile Pulse Mini Review - read honest T-Mobile Pulse Mini reviews

The T-Mobile Pulse Mini is a compact Android phone with a small price tag.

 

 

A smaller version of the T-Mobile Pulse, the T-Mobile Pulse Mini offers you many of the features of the original handset in a miniature version. Instead of the 3.5 inch capacitive screen, the Mini houses a 2.8 inch resistive screen – its resistive nature places it on a par with the HTC Tattoo, and means you need to press more firmly on the touch-sensitive screen for your requests to register. The Pulse Mini comes with a stylus neatly stored along its side, should you struggle with the responsiveness of the screen.

 

The various home screens are laid out in a grid fashion, and you can scroll through these sideways or lengthways. If you want to see all the screens in one, you simply press the central navigation key beneath the screen – similar to the Leap function on the HTC Legend smartphone. You can then just drag the apps you want to the screen you want.  

 

 

Run on the latest Android 2.1 platform, the T-Mobile Pulse Mini comes with abilities synonymous with this. For example, it has a lock screen which you need to swipe to unlock, like on the iPhone 3G S; and there are several Google apps onboard including Google Talk, Google Maps and YouTube. Unlike the Nexus One, however, which also runs on Android 2.1, the menu is not displayed in 3D – this is, after all, a budget phone and succeeds the first PAYG Android handset.

 

Social networking is integrated on the Pulse Mini, so you can check your tweets and update your status with ease. And the Wi-Fi and 3G support should ensure this is swift. You can upload photos and videos online too, as the 3.2-megapixel camera features a video option. The secondary camera on the front of the phone lets you make video calls also, which is in addition to the other communication options available: SMS, MMS, push email, and instant messaging.

 

 

The T-Mobile Pulse Mini comes with a music player but not an FM radio.
