One of the latest mobile devices to come out from Nokia is the Nokia 7020 and from the looks of it, it appears this device will appeal mostly to female mobile users what with the lively and bright colours that it sports. Initially, the 7020 will be available in hot pink and graphite. It has a glossy, reflective surface that is certainly eye-catching. A nifty feature of this phone is the secondary display on the front panel. If you tap on it twice, it gives off a burst of light to reveal time, calls and messages received.
You will find that some of the most popular networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook are already bookmarked on the device so this optimises content sharing and keeping in touch with your network of friends. The Nokia 7020 is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera with the Nokia Imaging 09 technology. Video recording of up to 15 frames per second is also possible on this device. If you are a music lover, you can activate the device’s MP3 player or tune into the RDS-supported FM radio. The 7020 has an internal memory of 45MB but you have the option of adding up to 16GB of additional storage capacity via microSD cards.Nokia 7020 Links:

In terms of the best Smartphone of 2008, TIME Magazine saw it as a toss-up between the Apple iPhone 3G and the Nokia E71 (with the latter eventually taking the acclaim). The trend carried on in 2009 and mobile phone manufacturers continue to come up with Smartphones that become more and more hi-tech. But then again, non-smart devices also continue to hold their own. Most recently, Samsung has come up with a new mobile that somehow blurs the line between smart and non-smart devices. Get ready for the new Samsung Jet S8000.
Although it is true that the Jet S8000 looks like the iPhone, this device is more than just another “iPhone killer.” Aside from having a 3.1-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display (16M colours and 480x 800-pixel resolution), the Jet S8000 also sports an impressive 5-Megapixel camera (with features such as face, smile & blink detection, geo-tagging, and wide dynamic range). It also has other Smartphone-ish features such as Wi-Fi capability, a GPS receiver, and multi-format music and video players.
Another thing that will make you wonder why the Jet S8000 is not a Smartphone is its TouchWiz 2.0 interface that is equipped with Media Gate 3D and Motion UI—features usually reserved for Smartphones of the highest calibre. The former is an intuitive cube UI that allows easy access to multimedia functions such as the FM radio or the Photo Album, while the latter is Samsung’s praise-worthy proprietary user interface.Samsung Jet S8000 Links:

Although it may look like other previously released entry-level Samsung handsets such as the Samsung E1100 or the Samsung E1210, the new E1107 couldn’t be more different—in terms of innovation, at least. Yes, they are alike in terms of being purely functional and coming at the cheapest rate possible. However, what sets the Samsung E1107 Crest Solar apart is its new solar power technology. In fact, it is the first commercial mobile released to the market which makes use of this type of renewable energy.
Elegant and sleek. These are the qualities Sony Ericsson wants to associate with the new T707 Elle when it used tennis superstar and fashion icon Maria Sharapova to launch this mobile phone. However, once it hits stores sometime in the second quarter of 2009, the T707 will actually come at quite a reasonable price. The actual launch price is unknown but estimates place it around the 90-pound region—quite a bargain for a mobile that has such an affluent image.
Samsung has yet again raised the bar when it comes to camera phones with the soon to be released Samsung Pixon 12, a mobile device boasting of a splendid 12MP capacity camera. A common complaint with camera phones is that you often have to wait for your mobile to save images before you can take the next shot. Not with the Pixon 12.
Speedy capture is by no means the only excellent feature of the camera. Samsung made sure users will be able to take outstanding images so it incorporated face and smile detection technology as well as intelligent focus and Smart Auto mode which allow for selective focusing and auto adjust in accordance with object, background and lighting conditions.
