One of the latest high-end smartphones from LG is coming to the UK later this month and will be available for free on a T-Mobile contract.
The LG Optimus Black on T-Mobile contracts run for 2 years and the monthly price will start at £25.54. To date, there is no news on how many minutes and texts, and how much data, this price includes so watch this space for further updates.
And there’s more good news if you’ve had your eye on this handset since its launch during CES 2011 – the Optimus Black is priced at 768 SGD in Singapore. This is approximately $607 or £380, making the Optimus Black less expensive than the LG Optimus 2X which is priced at 888 SGD in Singapore ($700/£435).
The Optimus Black is scheduled for a UK launch in mid-March. In addition to T-Mobile deals, the LG handset will also be available on Orange. If you’d prefer to buy the Optimus Black unlocked then Expansys is offering the smartphone for £399 SIM-free with a shipping date of April.
With the “brightest, most readable display on the market”, the LG Optimus Black has a 4 inch NOVA display. This technology also reduces power consumption by 50% compared to standard LCD displays – so you can be impressed by the vibrancy of the images onscreen for longer.
Powered by a 1GHz processor, the Optimus Black is fast and capable. The mobile phone has two cameras inbuilt, a main 5-megapixel one with HD video support and a front-facing 2-megapixel snapper for making video calls from your phone. Run on Android 2.2 OS, the LG Optimus Black has capacity for up to 32GB of storage and supports Wi-Fi Direct, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity.
