With only 25 days of 2011 left, Google has revealed the most popular YouTube viral video ads of the year – and T-Mobile’s Royal Wedding ad has been crowned the winner.
Celebrating the marriage of William and Kate, which grabbed the attention of most if not all of us back at the end of April, T-Mobile released a royal look-a-likes filled video with a big beating heart (House of Love soundtrack).
It’s been watched a whopping 24million+ times and gained the largest number of views from people in the UK of any video ad of 2011.
If you’ve not seen it already, take a peek at the video below.
And T-Mobile continues with its positive “One’s Life is for Sharing” theme of this video, with its Christmas promotion. To wish its customers an “Appy Christmas” the network is giving away £20 worth of apps with the purchase of an Android phone between now and Christmas Eve.
Included in the list is the much-talked-about John Lewis Christmas ad – and Nokia’s ad for its N8 smartphone in pink.

Ranked as number 10 of the 2011 video ads, the Nokia N8 Pink footage features a “very talented dancing doll” and the Sugababes track Freedom. Take a peep at the video below.
Nokia is enjoying a pretty good week so far, as the popularity of one of its videos ads follows news of the positive feedback its flagship WP device is receiving. On a website designed for network staff, comments and blogs are added to from employees at retailers including Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u about how the Nokia Lumia 800 is being received. And the answer is, better than some had previously speculated.
