Quad Core HTC Endeavour / Edge: Latest News and Leaks

February 13th, 2012 by Caroline

It’s just as well MWC 2012 is fast approaching, or the build-up could turn into a complete frenzy of anticipation and excitement! Especially as we have some more details for you concerning the upcoming HTC Endeavour (previously HTC Edge)…

This quad-core HTC super-smartphone first surfaced back in November 2011, and the date of 26th February was given as the moment when the HTC Edge would be introduced. Next, there were rumours of the Edge landing under a different name – and both Endeavour and Supreme were suggested.

Now it seems that HTC does indeed plan to introduce the new quad-core device, and with the HTC Endeavour moniker.

A source for the guys over at Android@MoDaCo has confirmed the previously-expected details of the HTC handset. The Endeavour should land with a 4.7-inch HD AMOLED display, Tegra 3 chip, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel camera and front-facing 1.3-megapixel snapper, Ice Cream Sandwich OS, Sense 4.0 and Beats Audio technology.

Adding to the rumour pile is PocketNow, who spotted a leaked ROM that was posted on XDA Developers and confirms several things about the upcoming quad-core smartphone from HTC. It confirms there is Sense 4.0 onboard, and that the display has a 720p HD resolution, but also that there is Dropbox integration, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n – and that its name is “Endeavor”.

So it seems we really can get excited about the long-rumoured HTC quad-core smartphone! We can’t wait for HTC to officially unveil the Endeavour…

Plus, this quad-core handset isn’t the only HTC device expected to make an appearance during MWC 2012 – there may well be more quad-core smartphones waiting in the wings, as well as the HTC Ville super-slim phone.

We’ll keep you posted on all the upcoming HTC goodies, and in the meantime don’t forget to share your views with us on the latest HTC Endeavour rumours.
