Someone over at US network Verizon has just confirmed to TechCrunch that their employer has forbidden staff from taking holidays between September 21st and September 30th.
This is not the first time that Verizon has enforced these “vacation blackouts”, they have been doing so for a number of years. And every time has had one thing in common: an iPhone launch.
There have already been a number of other sources stating that Apple will unveil the iPhone 5 on September 12th and start accepting pre-orders the following day, although the rumoured release date of September 21st was a little sketchier.
Coming from a major retailer that is no doubt already preparing itself for hordes of iFans knocking on its doors next month, the September 21st release date now seems almost set in stone.
