Motorola Pro Review   The Motorola Pro is one of the many phones that have started to appear with frontal keypads as well as touch sensitive screens. In a way, with its compact QWERTY keypad, the Motorola Pro is reminiscent of a typical BlackBerry handset, but the Pro also features a much larger screen than you would usually find on one of RIMs phones. While the 3.1" capacitive screen is large in comparison to the overall size of the phone, it is placed at the smaller end of the spectrum for all touchscreen phones available.   The more vertical proportions of the screen, a......

Motorola Gleam Review   Since the 2007 release of the iPhone by Apple the majority of mobile phone manufacturers have been quick to jump on the touchscreen bandwagon. With more and more touchscreen phones being released year on year it is starting to feel to many that older, and still highly popular, phone designs have been pushed to the side in the minds of the big phone makers. One of these designs is the clamshell or flip phone, which just a few years back was one of the most popular styles of phone to possess.   This was largely down to their convenient design that made the......

Motorola Spice Review   The Motorola Spice offers a combination of touch sensitive screen and compacted QWERTY keyboard, but takes a different approach to most Motorola QWERTY phones (such as the Milestone 2). The keyboard does not slide-out from the side but instead comes from below in a manner befitting of older generation slider phones. The keyboard is a compacted down QWERTY pad very reminiscent of a typical BlackBerry handset, and in many ways the Spice is similar to RIM´s latest hit phone the BlackBerry Torch.   One of the interesting things about the Spice is that ......

Motorola WX295 Review   The Motorola WX295 follows a design that was a fairly common site to behold as recently as 2006/07, but has since fallen out of favour with phone manufacturers with the recent shift in attention to full frontal touchscreens. This is a shame because the clamshell design always offered a number of benefits over other form factors and never really lost its appeal to phone users.   The Motorola WX295 is fairly basic handset but this is also reflected in the affordable price. While some features are obviously lacking in the WX295 there is still plenty of valu......

Motorola Xoom Review   At the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Motorola was keen to show off its first entry into the touchscreen tablet market. Standing between the first and second generation of tablet devices the Xoom certainly has a lot to boast over its existing competitors. As one of the first Android tablets to come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb it is also one of the first truly fit for the purpose.   Featuring a 10.1" capacitive screen the Xoom comes with full multitouch support including pinch to zoom (should that be xoom?) and a revolutionary new "floa......

Motorola DEXT 2 Review   The original DEXT was released back in 2009 and aimed at the younger messaging generation. Complete with, at that time novel, social networking integration and an excellent slide-out QWERTY keyboard the DEXT was certainly fit for the job. Running on Android 1.5 this popular handset is long overdue and update and finally it has arrived with the DEXT 2, announced at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.   The DEXT 2 takes on a similar appearance to the original and still features an excellent slide-out keyboard. This has taken on a new de......

Motorola ATRIX Review   The Motorola ATRIX is one of those phones that infrequently make an appearance but that push the envelope of smartphone technology to a new level. As another example of how various multimedia devices are converging as technology advances, the ATRIX has the potential to be operated as a PC or laptop. There are two docking stations that are available for the ATRIX including the multimedia dock and the laptop dock. Simply by placing the ATRIX into the dock (in a similar manner to iPod docking ports) and connecting a keyboard, mouse and monitor the ATRIX can be used ......

The EX128 is a dual SIM phone from Motorola released alongside its sibling device the EX115. While both devices offer dual SIM functionality the EX128 takes a touchscreen design and the EX115 offers up a more BlackBerry style QWERTY handset. With a 3.2" WQVGA screen the EX128 offers a better visual experience than its smaller sibling. The screen runs on capacitive technology providing a higher degree of responsiveness over earlier touchscreen models.   ...

Motorola EX115 Review   The EX115 from Motorola is a relatively basic handset whose main appeal is its dual SIM card functionality. Like other dual SIM phones such as the Samsung B7722 Duos and the Nokia C1, the Motorola EX115 is not crammed full of other features. While it is not completely austere it does not offer the same range of features as a high end smartphone, falling instead into the more affordable price range.   You can place two SIM cards in the EX115 at once and easily switch between them via the interface. This can be ideal for people who usually carry two phones......

Motorola Defy Review   There have been many phones released that cater to outdoorsy-type people, offering a rugged sturdiness that protect against drops, bashes and contact with large volumes of water. Devices such as the Sonim XP3 Sentinel or the Samsung E2370 have been designed to withstand all manner of tribulations that nature may throw at the hiker, rock climber or general adventurous phone user.   Catering for a niche market these phones have usually been quite noticeably lacking in other areas, providing only very basic features to enjoy. Many a rambler has lied aw......
