Smartphones are still selling extremely well – as the figures announced today prove. According to the research firm Gartner, sales of smartphones rocketed by 49% in Q1 2010 compared to Q1 2009. In total, 54.3 million smartphones were sold during the quarter. And worldwide sales of all mobile phones reached 314.7 million, an increase of 17% on the previous year.
