Brace yourself for rumours galore, as we have a quartet of leaks for you!

You can certainly tell Mobile World Congress is only around the next bend…

First up, is the HTC Primo. An “anonymous tipster” has kindly spilled the beans to Stuff about this upcoming HTC handset. Joining the queue that includes the quad-core HTC Edge/Supreme and Ville, the Primo is a more affordable version of its bigger siblings.

However, this does not mean the Primo shies away from advanced technology. The new phone is said to pack Ice Cream Sandwich software, 1GHz dual-core chip, 512MB of RAM, Beats Audio technology, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video and dual shutter mode, and a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass. The screen’s resolution is TBC, but all this goodness is wrapped up in a svelte 9mm frame.

The price of the HTC Primo is expected to reflect its lower-spec status. More details and a real image should find their way online soon – but in the meantime, enjoy the mocked-up version of the mobile.

The next two rumours come courtesy of Russian technology blogger Eldar Murtazin, via the guys at Phone Arena. Murtazin has been busy on Twitter this afternoon, delivering big news about the Galaxy S3 smartphone which he claims is scheduled for an April release date. The S II successor should get an official introduction during MWC in February, and be available a couple of months later – which is what happened with the current model in 2011.

Tweeting about the Galaxy S III and Lumia 900 devices, Murtazin tweeted: “HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona.” He also implied it will come with a 1.5GHz or 1.6GHz quad-core chip.

Murtazin also added to the Nokia Lumia 900 rumours by tweeting it will land in Europe with the name Lumia 910 – and arrive in May, rather than June as previously suspected. On Twitter, he wrote: “Who needs lumia 900 in june if they want to launch lumia 910 (12mpx) in may? Europe”.

Time will tell how much of these two juicy rumours is true.

And lastly, we’ve heard word from the guys over at The Verge that Huawei has big plans for MWC too. After introducing the Ascend P1 S at CES, Huawei is reportedly planning to reveal its “Diamond” range of high performance smartphones, at MWC. Details are scarce at this point, but we suspect the “Diamond” series will feature quad-core chips.
