HTC HD7 deals on contract

HTC HD7 deals

While many phones were announced to coincide with the unveiling of Windows Phone 7, prolific Chinese phone manufacturer HTC seemed to have many WP7 handsets up its sleeve. While some of these were new to the world the HTC HD7 had been garnering attention for some time before its official outing. The HD7 stands out from among the first batch of Windows Phone 7 handsets by having an exceptionally large 4.3" screen.

The screen is Super LCD, providing the highest quality visual experience you can find on a mobile phone. This has 16 million colours available and a very high WVGA resolution. The HD7 certainly cannot be faulted for its display which is at present the highest quality you will find on a phone. The new Windows Phone 7 interface has incorporated multitouch input which is put to great use with the HD7´s capacitive screen.

The phone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor that makes the MS interface seamless in its operation. The HD7 has 3G and Wi-Fi available, as well as GPRS and EDGE, Bluetooth and microUSB. The connectivity options make it a great phone for staying in touch online, with a WAP/HTML browser with Java support making surfing the web a breeze. Like all the new WP7 handsets the HD7 comes with fantastic social networking integration, with SNS data being tied into the phones homepage and interface. This information can be updated over the web to keep you informed in real time.

The HD7 comes with a very nice 5 megapixel camera that includes LED flash, geotagging and 720p HD video recording. Unfortunately there is no secondary camera for video calling. The phone features either 8 or 16GB of internal storage which is great for saving all your captured HD videos, but again this is let down slightly by the lack of a microSD card slot. You can also use this space to store music or video copied from your home computer or acquired online which you can enjoy on the phone´s media player. There are also some touchscreen games to enjoy on the HD7 and you can download more from online.

The HD7 has some features that are now standard in the high end market and is let down slightly by its lack of microSD. The features are top-end nonetheless, and there is plenty to play around with here. The highlight of the phone is most certainly the expansive 4.3" screen which is one of the most impressive displays to be found on a phone to date.
