LG T310 Cookie Style deals on contract
The trio of new Cookies recently released by LG Electronics continues the Cookie positioning tradition at the lower end of the budget conscious market. Sporting the candybar touchscreen form factor, the new Cookies are also pitched to a trendy youthful segment of the market with a variety of two-toned body colors such as black - titan silver, white – orange, black - red, and pink – white.
Sitting in the middle of pack, the new LG Cookie Style T310 is basically identical to its less endowed entry level LG Cookie T300 except for a few better spec’d features that should put it at a slightly higher price point.
Features at a Glance
The new LG Cookie Style T310 measures102.9 x 56.9 x 11.9 mm and weighs slightly heavier than the T300 at 86.4g, still pocket-friendly though. It sports a more rounded bottom and corners than the other two new Cookies and carries a more striking set of front buttons that matches its back cover color.
As far as radio connectivity is concerned, it has no 3G, WiFi or GPS as can be expected from a budget phone. But it makes international roaming a breeze on the GSM networks worldwide with a quad band GSM (850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900) radio that comes with class 10 GPRS/EDGE speeds of up to 236.8 Kbps on the 2G network for a decent surfing speed on a GPRS data plan. There’s also Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 for wireless and wired local data transfers and syncing, respectively.

The LG Cookie Style T310 is certainly another welcome addition to the Cookie stable of capable budget touchscreens coming after its more endowed Cookie Plus, Cookie Gig and Cookie Fresh. But unlike its predecessors, the new Cookie together with its newly released Cookies has more modest features and should attract a much lower segment of the budget market.
The LG Cookie Style T310 screen size is larger than that on the T300 at 2.8 inches across but shares the same TFT resistive touchscreen technology typical of budget releases as well as QVGA resolution and 256k color support. Imaging is also better but still outdated with a 2 megapixel fixed focus snapper with a rudimentary QCIF video recording at 15fps.
Entertainment on the road starts with a stereo FM radio with RDS which gets its own built-in antenna so you listen over the handset speakerphone without connecting the earphone that commonly serves as the FM antenna in just about all FM radio equipped handsets. As a music phone with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and wireless A2DP support, you get the capable media players for the popular audio and video files out there.
Forget about its onboard memory at 20MB. You only need its microSD external memory support of up to 4GB to store all your multimedia files when hitting the road. From its 900 mAh li-ion battery, talk and standby times are a generous 8 hours and 500 hours, respectively.
