Why compare with us?

The WX295 is a neat little affordable flip phone from Motorola with a few entertainment features to keep you occupied. Within the clamshell design there is a 1.8" TFT screen with 65k colours, and on the outer shell there is a secondary black and white display where you can pick up key information regarding battery level, signal strength and the time without having to open the phone up. The WX295 adopts a style that was once very popular just a few years ago but is being seen less and less in today´s phone market.

The clamshell design means that you do not need to worry about the phone dialling contacts while in your pocket, and this can be a big problem even with the latest touchscreen models. Weighing just a mere 83g the WX295 is a very portable handset that comes with a VGA camera and an FM radio with RDS. There is also an MP3 player on board for you to listen to your own tracks and through microSD cards you have about 2GB of storage space for music.

The phone comes with GPRS, Bluetooth and microUSB support but unfortunately there is no Wi-Fi or 3G. With GPRS there is a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser for getting online but with today´s internet you will be unlikely to find much practical use for this. SMS and MMS messages are supported, as a number of preloaded games and the interface can be navigated via a 5 way D-pad.

The WX295 is a reliable little handset that won´t cost you the earth. It performs its two main tasks of phone calling and messaging as expertly as any other phone but does not come with the latest entertainment features of higher end devices. Having said this, there is still entertainment on board via the music play, radio and preloaded games and the WX295 offers more than most handsets of a similar price by its support for 2GB microSD memory cards.
