Nokia 1506 deals on contract
The Finnish mobile phone leader Nokia confirms its commitment to supporting CDMA mobile network technologies with its CDMA handsets for the markets using the CDMA telephony standards, notably in China and India.
It has a complete range of CDMA handsets from entry level to upscale almost matching what it has in the GMS line. One of them is the entry level Nokia 1506 which, like many other Nokia handset in the 1000 series for either GSM or CDMA networks, sports a conventional candybar with minimalist design.
Joining the 1506 are two other CDMA handsets with beefier specs meant to cater to the more discriminating mobile phone user and is likewise targeted initially for the large China markets.
These are the Nokia 3806 and the more upscale Nokia 6316a. The 1506 is uniquely styled with two colors choices of gloss black or plum with metallic navigational key. It gets the distinction as being the most affordable CDMA handset yet.
Basic Features
Like its partner the Nokia 3806, the 1506 has all the basics of what can be expected from a minimalist handset, inside and out. It is designed to simplify the way its users communicate and is thus, expected to appeal to a wider market that continues to look at the mobile phone as a basic communications tools while on the road.

The 1506 sports a most unassuming display that is almost a throwback to the early handsets at the turn of the century with a 1.8-inch LCD TFT screen with a 128 x 128 resolution with 65k colors and has no other functional pretenses other to deliver the basics for mobile telephony.
Entertainment down the road gets a monaural FM that you can listen to with its speakerphone or a mini 2.5mm headphone jack. There are no media players and memory is limited to a phonebook capacity that can house 500 entries. There’s an 860 mAh li-ion battery but talk times are not specified tough Nokia claims it to be quite long.
As a basic CDMA handset, the Nokia 1506 gets preloaded with the basic call management functions, organizer, calendar, voice recorder and memo, SMS texting, call tracking and T9 predictive text. There are also a few basic games to entertain its user apart from the FM radio.
