The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition phone combines the power of a GPS navigation system with a capable mobile phone.

The Design

The look of the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition mobile is smart. The 2.2 inch screen is framed in black with a silver surround separating it from the rest of its black case. The silver trim runs round the side of the phone, the camera lens on the reverse, and around the main control key on the front. The mobile is also available in a silver coloured case.

The screen displays images in a high resolution and comes with a brightness control feature. The keys on the keypad are distinctive and big enough for effortless use, and the overall size of the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition phone allows you to keep it in your pocket or bag for added convenience.

Specifications

Similar in price to the popular 6303, the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is Nokia’s most affordable navigation phone to date and joins the current range of GPS phones including the 5230 and the 6210 Navigator. You will never be lost again thanks to the 2710 Navigation Edition’s inbuilt GPS receiver and pre-loaded Nokia Maps application.

The mobile also comes with local maps for your region pre-installed on the 2GB memory card, and a lifetime navigation licence. Select areas also get a car phone holder with the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition – which is handy as you can easily use the mobile as your GPS navigation system. When fully charged, you can enjoy the navigation feature for up to 6 hours continuously.

With the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition you can find the quickest route to your destination, both in the car and on foot – when you are travelling on foot, the inbuilt digital compass will help point you in the right direction too. There is full voice guidance and you can see your position on the map as you journey towards to your destination. For added ease of use, the dedicated Maps key lets you access Nokia Maps at the press of a button.

Remarkably, you get more on top of the GPS and Nokia Maps features. The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition phone has a 2-megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom and video. So, no matter where your navigation system takes you, you can capture the moments and share them with friends via Ovi Share, email, Bluetooth or USB connectivity.

There is a web browser that lets you stay updated with the world including your world of social networking sites. The Nokia Messaging allows you to access popular email services like Hotmail and Gmail, and the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition has support for up to ten personal email accounts as well as instant messaging.

For added entertainment, the music player and FM radio mean you can be aurally entertained as you travel as well as visually amused by the games. Java support enables you to download more games also.

The phone does not support 3G connection.
