What could possibly beat the Nokia N95? The Nokia N95 with 8GB of internal storage of course. Nokia soon realised, after launching the N95, that the mobile's wealth of features called for increased storage capacity. This is the result. It still boasts a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens; it still supports the Nokia Music Store and you can still enjoy NGage Mobile Games.

The only difference? You can now store and watch up to 20 hours of video, and over 6,000 songs: this really is the pinnacle in mobile entertainment. Although the model only comes in black and copper, the two-way slider design makes for an attractive handset.

Nokia N95 8GB Preview

Think you have the latest N95 mobile phone in the market?  Think again because Nokia recently launched N95 8GB due to the huge success of the original Nokia N95.  This Finnish company felt that there is a need for increased memory because of all the functions that this mobile phone can perform.

As the name clearly states, the latest phone has an 8GB built-in memory together with all the features of the first N95.  It still has the two way slider with a five megapixel camera (also with Carl Zeiss lens), GPS, HSPDA, and WLAN.  Because of its extended memory, it offers a staggering 20 hours of video and up to 6,000 music songs!  Talk about entertainment!

The Nokia N95 8GB also supports Nokia Music Store as well as NGage Mobile Games.  These services allow you to access millions of songs and games at your leisure.

The difference lies in the color too.  From grey it has been changed to classic black, though there are now copper colored models coming out.  Many consumers liked the material of the casing, this time made with rubber back and sides, which is not slippery and feels good to touch.  Another good improvement is the size of the screen expanding from 2.6” to 2.8”.  To top it all, this mobile phone boasts of 240 x 320 QVGA display which increased its contrast and sharpness compared to the original.

The backlight of the screen display, numeric keypad and those keys located on the right hand side of the mobile phone are also changed from light blue to white.  The camera, although still in the same position, has no lens cover and its flash is under its lens as compared to the first model where the flash is on the right hand side.  This new version also has extended battery life from 940 mAh, to a thicker 1200 mAh.  Aside from these, everything else is an exact replica of the former N95 mobile phone.

Because of the expanded display however, the navigation keypad also decreased in size.  This is sometimes a disadvantage because if the keys are less spaced out, you will most likely press a wrong key especially if you are in a hurry.  You also have to note that its 3G functionality will only be available in Europe.

All in all, the new N95 8GB overcame all the negative issues that were found on the first model.  It is absolutely amazing!
