Cheapest Samsung Galaxy Pro contract in the UK from £9.04 per month
Available on:
Samsung Galaxy Pro 9.04
Preview Summary:Samsung Galaxy Pro 3.5

To look at the Samsung Galaxy Pro, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a Blackberry. The 2.8 inch touch-sensitive TFT screen and full QWERTY keyboard look very familiar, yet the Pro offers more in the way of entertainment. You'll enjoy full social network integration, 3G and wi-fi, and an inbuilt HTML browser.

The only downside to the model is the 3.15MP camera, which isn't ideal for taking photographs. However, there is a second camera to enjoy video calling with friends and family. For games, music and videos - packaged up in serious style - look no further than the Galaxy Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Pro Preview

The Galaxy Pro is a messaging phone from Samsung that follows in the footsteps of many of BlackBerry´s iconic handsets. Featuring a 2.8" touch sensitive TFT screen, the Galaxy Pro also comes with a QWERTY keypad that is excellent for typing out all sorts of messages including SMS (with threaded viewing), email, instant messaging and through social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

These social networks are integrated into the Google operating system on board (Android 2.2 Froyo), and the Galaxy Pro also comes with support for MMS messages and reading RSS feeds. The Galaxy Pro comes with an HTML browser for enjoying the internet and comes with 3G and Wi-Fi so that you can hook up in almost all situations.

The Galaxy Pro comes with a 3.15 megapixel camera that is not the most amazing camera in the world but still functions well for everyday use. This is capable of video recording and with the Facebook and Picasa integration captured images can be easily shared online. There is also a secondary camera that can be used for video calling.

While the 2.8" screen may be smaller than many larger entertainment touchscreen phones, it is still perfectly suited for watching videos. The Galaxy Pro´s media player comes with some excellent support for music and video and, with YouTube and Adobe Flash support, you can enjoy video online as well. The phone also comes with an FM radio which includes RDS support.

The Galaxy Pro has 512MB internal storage for media content and can have a further 32GB with microSD cards. Samsung have even been kind enough to include a 2GB card with the phone. With access to Android Market many apps and games can be obtained, to complement those already installed on the handset.

The Galaxy Pro comes with excellent support for messaging, email, instant messaging and social networks and will be a good choice for people who like to keep their fingers busy with their phones. There are some good entertainment features available as well including games, music and video and easy access to the internet when it is needed.
