Details

The main feature of this phone is the brand new version of the TouchWiz interface which provides one-click access to a fantastic floating 3D-cube navigation system. Each of the six faces of the cube gives you access to all the media, entertainment and communication tools you could need. Not only this, but at the bottom of each screen you also have access to a wide variety of widgets that again give you instant access to the features you use most. So whether you jump most often to your Facebook page, to the music player or onto the internet, you can program the TouchWiz interface to allow you to do whatever it is you want in seconds.

The Jet S8000 has also been given an extremely impressive set of features and specifcations for what is after all a mid-range phone. The 800mhz processor is up there with many so-called high-end smartphones, and means the phone zips through even the most demanding functions. Paired with the new Dolfin browser, for example, you can now open up to five different browsing tabs, allowing background downloading of content. Plus, with Flash also installed, you can watch video online with ease. Another option called ´Communities´ lets you share photos on social network sites such as Facebook, Flickr and MySpace.

Look and design

There are few, if any, phones as good looking as this out there at the moment. Not only is the Jet S8000 slim (less than 12mm), it´s also perfectly weighted (not feeling to light and cheap, but also feeling sturdy and solid). Not only is the plastic casing visible from the front and sides an extremely high quality gloss black, but the back also has a really interesting geometric red patterning too it.

All-in-all, we can´t recommend this phone highly enough. If you´re happy not to have the very highest specs currently available, then this could be just what you´re after. And don´t forget that mid-range categorisation means you´re going to pick it up for a song.
