Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 deals on contract

For power users who like the QWERTY candybar styling of the BlackBerry phones but without their ridiculous high prices, there’s the Samsung Omnia Pro family of equally competent and stylish smartphones running the MS Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. One of them is the Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 measuring a compact 11.8 x 59.6 x 12.6mm with a lightweight 110g.
At a Glance
The Omnia Pro B7320 is a quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) for unhampered international roaming on the 2g network and gets class 10 GPRS/EDGE data connectivity speeds of up to 236.8 Kbps. But it’s also a 3G phone on the tri band UMTS (900/1900/2100) radio with high speed HDSPA at 7.2 Mbps and HSDUPA at 2 Mbps for truly fast internet surfing and downloading.
You also get WiFi 802.11b/g for hotspot surfing at an even fast 54 Mbps. You have Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless data connectivity up to 3 Mbps and USB 2.0 for wired data transfer up to 57 Mbps.
Under its hood is a Qualcomm MSM721A processor clocked at 528 MHz running the Windows Mobile 6.5 as upgraded from the previous version that came installed right out of the box. It gets the usual TouchWiz 2.0 user interface and is preloaded with Adobe Flash Lite, MS Outlook Mobile, Pocket Office (mobile version of MS Office) and support for Windows Live and AOL.

The QWERTY candybar form accommodates the usual 2.4-inch TFT LCD display in landscape orientation with QVGA resolution and the usual 64k colors constrained by a lackluster Windows OS. There’s a digital camera with a typical 3.2 megapixel resolution with video recording, autofocus, face and smile detection and geo tagging from its GPS receiver with A-GPS support for SatNav functionality.
A secondary CIF camera is up front for 3G video calls.
Multimedia is supported by a capable media playback facility that supports MP3/eAAC+/WMZ audio file codecs and MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV video file codecs. It comes with a stereo FM radio with RDS, speakerphones and A2DP profile support for wireless Bluetooth stereo listening.
There’s a 256 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM on the Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 for its memory-hungry OS as well as a users on board memory of 100 MB that can be expanded using its microSD slot for up to 16 GB. In addition, call records and phonebook entries and fields are practically unlimited. Talk time is a generous 10 hours on 2G with 590 hours on standby from a fully charged Li-Ion battery rated at a powerful 1480 mAh. SAR EU is stated at 0.64 watts per kilo.
