The first own-branded mobile phone to be launched by Huawei in the UK is the Huawei G7002 – and is now available through O2.
The G7002 measures 98.4 x 51.3 x 13.6mm, making it pocket-friendly and portable. The phone weighs only 95g so you will hardly notice this device in your pocket or handbag.

Also known as the Corby in other markets, the Samsung S3650 Genio is an affordable feature phone in the touchscreen monoblock form factor that Samsung designed for the tech savvy social networking crowd.
It’s quite pocketable at a lightweight 90g and measures a compact 103 x 56.5 x 12 mm for a fresh stylish body which comes in interchangeable battery covers Samsung calls Fashion Jackets that come in Jamaican yellow, minimal white, festival orange and cupid pink that are sure to delight the target younger markets
Major Features
It is a quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) for your international roaming needs on the 2G network. It has no 3G but it has class 10 GPRS/EDGE data connectivity speeds of up to 236.8 Kbps which is often good enough to serve your social networking activities with Facebook, MySpace and Twitter which has apps to integrated and connect to them from your home screens as well as media file sharing on YouTube, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket.
There’s no WiFi, but you get Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP for wireless high speed data transfers and a wired option using miniUSB 2.0.

Taking out 3G and WiFi may put the Samsung S3650 Genio in the budget category but the Genio/Corby packs some cutting edge technology inherited from the more expensive Samsung Jet released earlier.
It sports the same finger zoom thanks to its capacitive touchscreen technology used in its 2.8-inch TFT LCD display with QVGA resolution and 256k colors. It’s no smartphone but uses the same widget based TouchWiz UI with three alternate homescreens that you can customize with as many widgets you prefers and comes with smart unlock and a customized web browser.
Imaging is modest with a 2 megapixel fixed focus shooter with smile detection and QVGA video recording at 15fps. You get a typical multimedia with media support for the popular audio and video codecs as well as a stereo FM receiver with RDS. It comes with Find Music recognition features and with its Bluetooth profile support for A2DP, you can use wireless stereo earphones though it lacks a 3.5mm phone jack.
Memory is likewise modest at 50MB with up to 1,000 phonebook contacts and microSD expandability for up to 8GB. The handset is powered by a 960 mAh standard Li-Ion battery that can get you up to 9 hours of talk time and 30 hours of talk time on a single charge. Its SAR EU rating is 0.75 watts per kg for the head.
