Samsung Wave deals

The world’s number 2 mobile phone giant, Korea’s Samsung, creates some waves with its Samsung Wave S8500, the world’s first smartphone running Samsung’s proprietary Bada OS and using the latest TouchWiz 3.0 UI. It is also the first consumer device certified to deploy the latest Bluetooth 3.0 +HS using the same WiFi 802.11 protocol. Its feature set is as superlative as any cutting edge flagship smartphone in the market.

Outstanding Flagship Features

The Snapdragon is not the only 1 GHz engine to power a mobile phone. The Wave gets a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor supported by a 512 MB ROM with a 2 GB memory expandable to 32 GB using its microSD slot. The TouchWiz 3.0 UI ported into the Bada OS features customizable widgets and menu that enable seamless and instant social networking integration as well as IM and email integration with your phonebook.

Its 3.3-inch display may look average with wide VGA resolution and 16 million colors but it uses cutting edge Super AMOLED screen technology with higher contrast ratio due to the absence of backlighting required in LCDs. In addition, its power efficiency allows up to 40% more talk and standby times for the same battery capacity. The screen gets protected with an anti-smudge scratch-resistant tempered glass cover.
