For those who loved the T-Mobile Vario II, then the T-Mobile MDA Vario III may be the perfect fit for you if you are looking for an upgrade. If you are a new to the Vario series however, this mobile phone is a pocket PC which caters to gadget fans and business users. This is basically a clever touch screen device which includes all the connectivity features you need as well as a lighting fast internet connection via HSDPA. It carries much of what made the Vario II a charmer in the first place and adds a little zest to differentiate it from its predecessor.
It Has the Look
While the T-Mobile MDA Vario III looks a lot like the Vario II, it does keep quite a few surprises close at hand. It sports a 2.8 inch touch screen which has a 240 by 320 pixel resolution. The screen is adjustable, allowing the user to slide it out and tilt it upwards to allow for more comfortable typing or reading. This is quite a nifty feature because mobile phones are not only used while travelling, it can also sit on a desk while at work, needing the screen elevation for easy reading and that laptop-like feel.
While it does still retain its chunky size at 59 mm high, 112 mm wide, 19 mm thick and weighing around 160 g (a slight improvement from the Vario II), it is understandable due to the nature of the device. The Vario III is sort of a miniscule computer instead of just a smart phone. It also carries the same type of wide spacious keyboard that has a lot of space allowance for those who prefer comfort over looks. This is basically a practical mobile device for people who want none of the hassle but all of the benefits of their home computer.
Windows Mobile Inside
The T-Mobile MDA Vario III is a powerful Pocket PC. It makes use of the Windows Mobile 6 operating system and it does not skimp out when it comes to connectivity. It still has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities as well as the incredibly fast HSDPA network which allows up to 1.8 Mbps internet speed. Web ‘n’ Walk returns for an encore, which gives users a quick way to access useful information by making use of predetermined links courtesy of T-Mobile.
Never Lose Your Way
Instant access to email is no problem with the T-Mobile MDA Vario III and a GPS receiver is packed in to allow users to access support on the go. CoPilot version 7 is also available for the Vario III to give its users a satellite navigation system right after the device is brought straight out of its box.
This truly gives the mobile phone the ultimate travel experience by offering live, up to the minute traffic coverage, mobile location guidance as well as spoken directions so that you will never end up lost. A three megapixel camera wraps up the package to let you take home keepsakes from your travels.
