Why compare with us?

The ZTE Amigo is a superb Android handset that comes with excellent messaging features and a superb QWERTY keyboard to complement this. ZTE are a company that have often made handsets for the Orange network, handsets such as the San Francisco, which were highly popular for offering excellent Android functionality at a much more affordable price. The Amigo is no different in this regards, although ZTE have not issued it under the Orange branding.

The Amigo has a sleek and attractive design that is appealing to the eye, and a sturdy QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the side of the device. This can be used for messaging, emails or just general social network use, but the Amigo also features touch sensitivity on its screen as well, if this is what you prefer.

The Amigo does have some excellent messaging features on board to put this keyboard to good use. While supporting threaded SMS, MMS and email, the Amigo also comes with support for instant messaging clients. Running on Google Android Froyo the Amigo also features excellent integration for social networks like Facebook and Twitter, both of which are another good reason for the QWERTY keyboard.

The Amigo comes with 3G and Wi-Fi available, so these messaging and social network features are not completely frivolous. Because of this you can be assured of web access whenever you should need it. As well as social networking the Amigo supports streaming video through YouTube and is a superb device for just general web browsing.

The Amigo also has good support for offline entertainment with a wide range of music and video supported by its media player. The Amigo comes with microSD so that you can expand its memory for more storage space, and also easily swap microSD cards as you see fit. The phone also comes with an FM radio so that you can listen to music on the move. For additional entertainment the Amigo comes with many games for you to enjoy, with more available through Android Market.

The ZTE Amigo is a nice affordable Android handset and offers many of the same great features as its more expensive rivals. The Amigo comes with great entertainment, online and offline, good connectivity and excellent integration for social networks like Facebook. Its many messaging features on board are greatly enhanced by the slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes typing a great deal easier for many people.
